CAGE 2024 Applications open

The Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists are excited to announce the return of CAGE in 2024!

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN

The Australian Society of Exploration Geophysics is hosting a one-week Camp for Applied Geophysics Excellence in Western Australia from Monday 23rd of September to Tuesday October 1st, 2024. This field camp will involve seven days of real-world application of major geophysical techniques.

CAGE is designed to give young geoscientists practical skills in using and applying geophysical data. Industry-recognised experts will guide the ~25 CAGE attendees through geophysical data collection at the Forrestania EM Test Range in WA, as well as the subsequent modelling, interpretation and integration of the datasets. Participants also learn about the approaches, goals and challenges of geophysics for mineral exploration, fieldwork health and safety, and geophysical survey design, all using industry-standard software. Graduates of CAGE are better equipped to enter industry by understanding the strengths and limitations of different geophysical methods, experiencing the realities of field work, and developing a strong network of peers.

Potential applicants should fill out the expression of interest form below BEFORE June 24th for a chance to be selected for this amazing opportunity!
