b'NewsGeophysics in the surveysThe current EIS petrophysics samplingPerth2025programme commenced in 2021. TerraPerth2025Petrophysics was awarded the tender811 September 2025for the data acquisition, and the project811 September 2025is funded by the EIS. Selected core samples are analysed for the following petrophysical properties: Induced polarisation (chargeability) and galvanic resistivityInductive conductivityMagnetic susceptibilityRemanent magnetisationDry bulk densityApparent porosityp-wave sonic velocitySpectral radiometricsTo date, 8496 samples have been analysed for petrophysical properties from a total of 166 publicly available drill cores located across the West Australian state. Data collected over 202324 included 40 drill cores from the Officer, Canning and Perth Basins, Tanami, West Arunta, Kalgoorlie region, Halls Creek Orogen, and from the Southwest Yilgarnand Youanmi Terrane proximal to the new 202324 2D active passive seismic lines. All petrophysical data results are published to GSWAs MAGIX platform.
